Mariah Carey's
"Through The Rain"

This is an extremely personal post. Only my close friends know this, but...I am a Mariah Carey fan. There. I've said it.

I'm definitely not at the Japan fan-level though, i.e. collecting imports, flying to other countries to see her perform, have anything with her autograph on it, or have a pic with me standing right beside all 5'9" of her, but I do own the Rainbow & Glitter albums/DVD. Don't believe the reviews, the flick was totally watchable!

And if I'm looking for a karaoke bar, they'd better have a damn good Mimi on tap! I can definitely do without "Hero" (even too cheesy for my taste!) or "I'll Be There" (Jackson 5 cover - never liked it!). I'd be double-impressed if they had "Melt Away", co-written by Babyface.

I decided to post this particular track 'cause it's raining outside - at least it was a while ago. (Love the occasional rain!) I decided on this particular YouTube 'cause 1) the actual vid was too OTT and 2) Sharon Osbourne is obviously drunk and her throw is ridic!

Plus the last time Mariah performed in Toronto was probably my fav concert moments. You can relive it
here. Def no lip-syncing there!

The other option was a 9+ minute interview with Mariah, the collaboration/recording process, how surprised people are when they find out she writes her own music - pretty amazing considering that she doesn't play any musical instruments, and finally the actual video for this song. Thought that that would be a bit much for non-fans.

P.S. Please excuse me, I think I'm PMS'g!

P.P.S. What possesses people to make YouTubes of themselves singing, alone in their bedrooms...with no make-up/hair did...in their pjs??!! EXCRUCIATING!

P.P.P.S. I think the fact that she shows fugly pics of herself as a kid gives her more cred.

P.P.P.P.S. You can save the world, Mariah!
