Ombré Hair, DIY?

The last time I was at my hairdresser, I reminded her that I hafta be shrewd with my style because my hair grows soo fast, so "what's the point" of getting excited over something that may last a month - max??

Hairdresser's response? Well, what's the point of getting up in the morning, getting dressed, going to work?, etc. Fine, I get the point.

Anyway, so since my hair does grow like a weed, I thought to myself that perhaps an ombré look would be fitting. After all, doesn't it just look like a grow-out? I also wondered whether or not I should attempt to do this look myself?

Answer? NO as I would be going dark --> light. If it was the other way 'round, then perhaps there'd be less of a chance to look "brassy". In addition, I've been a witness to what Sun-In looks like on Asian hair...TRASH!
