Rage Against Suburban Zombie-ism Friday, June 17, 2011  I hate Father's Day."Hate" is such a strong word, so notice that I didn't state, "I hate my father", but that I hate Father's Day. Totally different. Everyone in North America knows that Father's Day isn't that HUGE of an event or does it make an impact on the retail world. Despite the increasing advertisements for Father Day, more money will always be spent on Mother's Day. That's just the way it is and will be. So, media, can you please chill on announcing that it's "Father's Day Weekend!", "What did you get your father?" 'cause I don't give a shit! Have some fuckin' sensitivity for the rest of us who didn't grow up with The Cleavers and have an asshole dad OR no dad at all.
