Rage Against Suburban Zombie-ism Thursday, May 26, 2011 Fugitive Descriptions Question: Does anyone know, specifically in the Canadian press, whether or not a fugitive's ethnicity is able to be used as a description? Take for example this 1970 mugshot of Jane Fonda, if Jane was wanted today, can an anchor say, "The suspect is described as a Caucasian woman" OR is the media no longer allowed to say "Caucasian", "Black", "Asian" because it's been deemed racist by the hyper-sensitive? If I know for a fact that someone is White, Black, Asian, etc. why can't I just say what they are? Labels: fugitive mugshots ethnicity as description posted by Stephania at 3:10 pm |
