Festival Parties

I'm not sure if it's the alcohol, but sometimes, Festival (parties) are magical!  Strangers will walk up to you, introduce themselves, you'll talk for hours, and you may walk away with a new friend.  Hey, that's how I met D - TIFF '05, baby - and we've been in touch ever since!

Since Toronto is apparently known as being "Screw-Face City", I realise that this might be a difficult concept to grasp, but just take it:  Pretend you're intoxicated if it makes you feel any better.

No real writing-related networking done...yet, but I might have a free place to stay if I visit Paris.

We'll see.  Sometimes it's just the alcohol talking.

P.S.  Day 3 and I haven't seen anything yet!
