Crazy Enough2 Work!

In the middle of fashion nowhere, a.k.a. the mall, J asked me the other day what was 'in' for Fall. I had no clue. She suggested perhaps "plaid" in which I "UGH'd"! I can't remember a Fall in which plaid hadn't been suggested. It's sorta like Spring + b&w.

According to Karl Lagerfeld, the Dr. Zhivago look is the way to go as Chanel's Paris-Moscou pre-Fall 2009 featured ornate headdresses, splashes of red on black, and fur-trimmed boots. It showed sometime in '08, so yes, I'm behind!

Part of this over-the-top collection includes the above enamel, Matrioshka (Russian doll) purse. Price tag is a reported £2500 --> a whopping £4200! If you don't speak British, that's ~$4200-$7100USD. I suspect that the £2500 figure is more accurate as it's about equivalent of ~$4200USD. As for the CAD, I don't even want to go there!!!

Lagerfatty Hater - he's just afraid of returning to his former physical state! - got the inspiration from Coco Chanel's 1920s tryst with Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia, a supposed wo/manizah. I Y a collection...with a story.

So for your consideration (& potential inspiration) is the full collection...

Now where would I find a beaded headdress?

P.S. Sorry guys, it seems as though you get the shaft in this collection. Not to worry, just pin a whole bunch of medals 'n shit on a fitted, military-inspired blazer and top off with a fur hat!

P.P.S. Speaking of hot pieces, here's a pic of Duke Dmitri. Jerk-off material for later!
