Rage Against Suburban Zombie-ism Wednesday, November 27, 2013 (Just remove the ice cubes, serve it hot + in a mug, and add a splash of Jamaican White Rum!) Very similar to my Korean Cinnamon Tea recipe is Sorrel, a Jamaican beverage made out of hibiscus sepals. I've seen fresh sorrel once, but most of the time, it comes dry, in a vacuum sealed bag, available at your Caribbean grocery store. It's the dry version of what you see in the above pic. You can make it over the stove, but I make mine in the slow cooker.
And this is my more or less recipe for Sorrel, a drink that's supposedly good for the Holidays. After the first time you make it, you adjust to your personal taste. Try it nuh! Labels: Jamaican sorrel drink recipe hibiscus posted by Stephania at 5:19 pm |
